Jorie's First Haircut

Unfortunately, it was by a 3 year old barber. I came home from the grocery store and John handed me a small chunk of hair and said, "You might want to save this." All I could say was. "AHHHHHHHHH!!" Cameron took one chunk right off the back of her head. Luckily, it isn't too noticeable. It was a hard to get it in pictures.

Painting Blocks

John saved all of the wood scraps from framing the basement.
We have made some wooden blocks for Cameron to build with.
Cameron has been working on his dad to make some more.
Here they are sanding the blocks.

Here Cameron is putting on the primer
so we can paint them different colors.

Yeah!!!! The Backyard is finally finished!!!!!

John and our neighbor as we finished laying the sod.

We even got our garden planted. We are a little slow this year,
due to the backyard renovations.
It is a good thing the weather has been cool.

A few weeks of heavy watering and we can enjoy it!!!

Company Lagoon Day!!!

We went to John's Company Lagoon Day. It is the first time in the 4 years he has worked there that we were able to go. Cameron had a great time on the rides but....he wasn't a fan of standing in line. I kept telling him it was a lesson in patience. (Ha ha) Next year Jorie will be able to ride that should be even more fun.

More In Our Backyard

It look three dump truck loads of dirt to even out the backyard.
Moving dirt is a lot of work.
We get sod on Friday. YEAH!!! I can't wait until it is done.

John dug this hole and filled it with rocks
to give the water somewhere to go in the spring
so hopefully we won't have a swamp in the backyard again.
This shows you how deep it was.
